1pm - 2pm - Session 1: How to Tell Your Story on Social Media
This session discusses why stories are so important and how you can use them to effectively promote your work/business on social media. Topics covered will include: how to get attention and how not to lose it; the importance of branding; why you should always give value; the value of time; and photo/video creation tips and basic equipment and apps used.
2:30pm-3:30pm - Session 2: Facebook Marketing
This session focuses on the basics of Facebook business pages. Topics covered will include: What are the most effective kinds of posts; how to work around Facebook's algorithms; when the best time to publish posts; how to get followers that care about your work; the basics of paid advertising on Facebook; and how to respond to comments, questions or complaints.
4pm - 5pm: Session 3: Instagram Marketing
This session covers how to use Instagram to effectively market your work or business. Topics include: What makes Instagram so popular and why people use it; how to create an Instagram account, write a great bio, and whether to make it a business account; how to get more followers and who to follow; and how to use hashtags effectively; and using the new Stories feature.

Eugene has been using social media to increase brand awareness since 2009, starting with the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort & Spa. He left the Kingfisher to open and market Polka Dot Pants! (now West & Co.) Consignment Boutique in Cumberland from 2010-2012. He was acquired by Mount Washington Alpine Resort to manage its social media marketing in 2014 and 2015. After an unseasonably short winter ski season, he launched his digital marketing business, Peer Garden Media.
