is open to the public from March 13 - April 6 during regular college hours.

‘Transference’ explores the experience of printing images through the process of woodcutting. Woodblock printing is a historical form of printing still alive within contemporary art culture. The artists use tools to remove material as

a means of creating white spaces of varying complexity. Due to the nature of the wood, the tactile act of carving and manipulating the 3-dimensional material is implied within the surface of the 2-dimensional image. A conversation is had between the artist, the wood, the application of ink, and the pressure applied in transferring these exchanges onto paper. The validity of this process lies within the restrictions the material gives the artists, challenging them to communicate a concept within the constraints of the material to express an aesthetic.
