We are working hard with our colleagues at the Comox Valley Art Gallery to install the largest members show in recent memory. (We received more than 100 submissions for "By a Thread", a group show for members of CVAG and CVCAC.)

At the same time textile artist Jo Swallow is installing her exhibit "The Blues Project",  three independent artists are setting up a make-art project connected to the theme "By a Thread", and participants at OneTribe Youth Art Design and Screen Printing are gearing up for a display on the CVAG plaza Friday evening.

"The Blues Project" and "By a Thread" exhibits will run from Sept. 27 to Nov. 1. During this time there will be several opportunities for public engagement, including:

Weaving Demonstration with textile artist Jo Swallow on Fridays and Saturdays fromnoon to 1 pm, starting Sept. 27 and concluding Nov. 1.

Performance "Leaves of Time" with multidisciplinary artist Medwyn McConachy on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 1 pm, starting Sept. 27 and concluding Nov. 1.
