Jack Duckworth’s interest and talent for art emerged naturally in his younger years living in Duncan, BC. Family and vocation brought an extended hiatus while serving pastoral and campus Christian missions on the Vancouver Island and in Winnipeg, and teaching practical theology modules overseas in Ukraine, Armenia, Amsterdam, and Haiti. In retirement, his artistic interests were rekindled.
He receives great joy from the colours and rhythms that come with painting landscapes, seascape, and village scenes locally, and from travels in Canada and overseas. Now living in Nanaimo with his wife, he is becoming established as an artist.
