Muir Gallery- A New Era Approaches

Comox Valley Community Arts Council made its "home" at the Muir Gallery many years ago. Hundreds of new, experienced, local and visiting artists have shown their work there since then, and thousands of people have been through the doors to discover it. Writers, musicians, dancers, poets, painters, potters and so much more have been hosted at the Muir.
It is with mixed emotions that the Board & Staff of CVCAC announce the closure of the Muir Gallery - mixed because although the Muir in its well known form will be disappearing, it is doing so in favour of a new location and revitalized approach. After much deliberation, the decision was made to commit to the closure and proceed with work on a new location that will provide a wider breadth of support to all genres of the arts.  We strongly believe the move will add significantly to the value of the work of CVCAC and enrich the programming possibilities.
We invite you - our arts-interested community - to stay tuned and join our mailing list as this new project develops! There will be a transition period and a short time without our gallery, but the end result will be worth it.
Thank you to our community and volunteers for supporting the Muir for so many years. Visit to get the latest information about what's happening, and how you can be involved in creating, supporting and animating the arts in the Comox Valley.

I am committed to assisting with your transition however that looks. I am away from Nov 30 to Dec 9 so after that, I would like to offer whatever assistance I can.
