If you happened to miss Lisa Kirk’s Art in Garden Show last week, don’t dismay! It had to be postponed due to rain and is now rescheduled for Sat Aug 13th, 11 am-5-pm!

Lisa sure hopes you will come and join her for what promises to be a wonder-filled day of art beneath the trees in her garden and home studio. You will find art of every size to feast your eyes on as well as notebooks, and art cards. You will leave the show feeling uplifted and inspired. It truly is a transformative experience to wander about her garden finding colourful expressions hidden beneath the greenery. This show only happens every 2-4 yrs and is a memorable event as every year Lisa is asked if the show is on!

So you can imagine Lisa’s disappointment when she had to cancel last weekend! It has been a lesson in flexibility and ability to rise to the challenge….something that self-employed artists are very familiar with. This show takes a tremendous amount of work to pull off for one day! The morning of the show Lisa and her husband, Dan arise at dawn, to bring the artwork out into the garden….Lisa has over 150 pieces of art she will be showing this year. There are many new pieces from her Golden Clothesline Series of dancing dresses, her Head Series with many new additions to the Big Tribe and Tiny Tribe, as well as her Happy Houses and other surprises.

Lisa has lived in the Comox Valley for the last 24 yrs, and she adores immersing herself in painting, drawing and mixed media in her home studio. She also has a deep love of facilitating in her Pure Process Art Classes in her home studio and within the school district.

Lisa will also have some smaller works hanging in Sweet Surprise Gluten Free Bakery and Café, 526 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay from Aug 10 through to Sept. Be sure to stop by there for a delicious savory or sweet treat, tea or coffee and to view her work. All work can be purchased through the bakery.

Lisa hopes you will join her for an inspiring show Sat Aug 13th, 11-am-5pm, 1986 Cumberland Rd., Courtenay (5 minutes from downtown Courtenay). If unable to attend, feel free to set up an appointment to visit Lisa in her studio to view her art. For more info please call 250-334-2567 email [email protected] or go to www.LisaKirk.ca
