2017 marks an exciting year at the Cumberland Museum and Archives where building improvements and accessibility projects will transform the exterior of your community museum. To match these changes we are revitalizing the museum's interior front entry welcome space.
We need your help in telling an essential story.
The Kumugwe exhibit will greet visitors and highlight the history and resiliency of the K'omoks people. The focal point is the stunning Kumugwe mask, carved by K'omoks youth artist Karver Everson and seen in the photo highlighted.
The Comox Valley Community Foundation has committed funds towards this project through their Community Enrichment Grant Program. Your donation will support the remaining funds needed.
