Gardeners Green Folk Club in Merville welcomes Quebec duo Zigue for a house concert on Friday July 5th at 7 p.m.  Since 1992, Claude Méthé and Dana Whittle have performed, composed and shared everything musical. Partners in music and in life, they are both dynamic singers and prolific composers, in love with the Québécois trad-inspired music they make together every day.
Claude was born in Quebec City and is a master of traditional Quebec-style fiddling and singing.  Dana, a very talented guitarist and singer, hales from New England, where she was actively involved in the folk music scene before meeting Claude and becoming firmly transplanted to Quebec.  Both have played and toured with many other performers and bands over the years, and have a number of CDs available.  The area they live in is a hotbed for the traditional music of Quebec, and Claude and Dana have a strong dedication to preserving and sharing this music.
Tickets are $20 and include hot drinks, fingerfoods, plus a stroll in a lovely garden if you so desire.  Being a house concert, seating is limited.  Tickets by e-transfer or pick up in person.  Please ring 250-337-5337 for more details.
