The HMCS ALBERNI Museum and Memorial (HAMM) is proud to present our 2019 Summer Exhibit in celebration of our 20th year. “A SOLDIER’S SKETCHBOOK: art of war and peace” focuses on several well known to obscure Canadian artists whose work helped shape the stories of the Great War, the Second World War, and the Cold War. Also part of the exhibit is featured panels on propaganda posters, tattoos and their meanings, and doodles.
Exhibit is in the museum’s main corridor at the Courtenay Mall (625 Cliffe Avenue). Entrance to HAMM can be found at Cliffe or at 6th Street. Admission is free, though donations to the museum are always welcome.
Summer museum hours are: Monday – Saturday 10-5 (Group Sunday tours by appointment only).
