WordPress Basics – Managing Your Own Website
May 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm PDT$20
WordPress is the most used platform for building websites… in the world.
It was created to give YOU the power to manage your own website, without having to know a ton of code, and perhaps more importantly, without having to be held hostage to a developer.
This session is designed to help you understand where to find the ease with this popular platform.
YOU CAN do it. As with everything, there’s a learning curve, but with the right guidance, and a little persistence, that curve doesn’t have to be steep nor long.
Join CVA’s resident web manager (among other things), Kera McHugh, for a guided tour and “ask me anything” session. Opportunities to share screens and work through specific issues on your OWN site will be available if desired. Come with questions, and be prepared for plenty of notes!
Kera has been in web “design” and management for over 20 years. She has specialized in small business support with wordpress and other tools for the last 12 years. Having worked with myriad solopreneurs (as most artists & creative folk are), she’s intimately acquainted with the struggles and head-against-the-wall moments that can happen when learning new technologies or grappling with constant updates and changes!
Every wordpress website is unique, but there are certain tools that help make them easier to manage and more efficient to use.
We’ll cover lots of those, as well as specific use cases brought by participants, and whatever other questions we can!
This workshop is Pay What You Want. Suggested price is $20, but you can change it to anything that suits you.
