Nature Art Workshops at Puntledge Park

July 24 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

Art and nature collide in Lake Trail Community Education Societies Nature Art Workshops for youth aged 9 to 12. Youth learn new skills and immerse themselves in art inspired by nature with professional artist and art teacher, Larissa McLean. Each session features unique art activities including plant ID, nature sketching with artist trading cards, tiny button creations from experiences in nature, and mono-printing.

Our program welcomes limited numbers. Pre-registration is required.

When: 10am to Noon

• Saturday, July 24th

• Tuesday, July 27th

• Friday, July 30th

*** Register for one, or as many sessions as you like. Each date will feature different art activities.

Cost: Suggested donation of $5 to $10 p/ session. Bursaries available if cost is a barrier.

Supplies: All supplies included.

Ages: 9 to 12. Drop off program.

Registration: Each attending child will be required to pre-register through Eventbrite.

Facilitator: Larissa McLean obtained an Arts degree from the Alberta College of Art and Design, continuing on to the University of British Columbia for a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. After 10 dynamic years working to inspire young artists as an Art Teacher with the Calgary Board of Education, Larissa moved to the Comox Valley where she now shares her passion for nature and art!

Location & Access: Puntledge Park (Not the school, the park).
