Are you a researcher without an academic library?

This information session is for those who are not currently affiliated with a university, who work with charities and non-profits in BC, and who are interested in accessing published research to support the work of their organizations and to improve their practice.

Does this sound like you? If so, you might benefit from participating in the Community Scholars Program.

Community Scholars are able to:

  • search for, find, and read licensed scholarly publications from participating publishers from anywhere they have an internet connection
  • consult with librarians who support the program
  • participate in workshops, Community Scholars journal clubs, and other events that help to build skills and support scholarly community of practice

This event is hosted by the Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL), Courtenay Branch. Light refreshments will be served.
