The gallery is a collective run by 14 members and has an additional 12 consignment potters.
During April, there is a display of salt and soda glazed work as well as a hanging exhibition next door at Sweet Treats.
May at the gallery will bring a rare showing of the pottery of Robin Hopper. Robin, who has recently died, was a Victoria potter, honoured last year with the Order of Canada for his lifelong contribution to education and advancement of ceramic art.
The show will include borrowed work from several collectors. The opening is May 4, from 4-7 pm with 40 Knots winery present to offer wine tastings. We have also established a Ceramic Arts Bursary in his name, if you would like to contribute, you can do so on our website.
June's special display will include up to 30 unique place settings by past and present members of the gallery.
The opening is Friday, June 2 from 4-7 pm. Make it an evening with a stop at Sweet Treats next door and visit the Art Gallery opening up the street at 7 pm.
The Potters Place is at the corner of 5th and Cliffe in downtown Courtenay, Parking at the rear.
