Welcome to Comox Valley Arts

Join us in cultivating, educating and advocating for an arts-centric community.

The Comox Valley Community Arts Council works to:

* facilitate, create and promote arts and culture in our community
* actively engage and educate about the value of arts & culture in our daily lives, and for creating the world in which we want to live
* promote the Comox Valley as a creative and dynamic arts-producing center to visitors and locals alike
* guide and partner with policy-makers to affect positive change that involves public access to arts and culture.

2017-19 Comox Valley Poet Laureate - Natalie Nickerson!

The second Poet Laureate of the Comox Valley, selected in April 2017,  has plenty of plans already.

And she’s open to hearing ideas from others in the community as to how she can best promote the art of poetry, cultivate poetic literacy and encourage the reading and writing of poems.

See what she's up to!

Arts, Advocacy, Appreciation, Access

We exist to animate the arts in the Comox Valley by: acting as a resource for the arts community; informing the public about the arts; and celebrating the Comox Valley as an arts-producing centre.
